Full description

Trolling in Phuket is a sea fishing trip to the Racha Yai Islands. Almost immediately after departure, the Thai crew casts out the fishing lines — usually between 6 and 10, depending on the number of people on board. Your job is simply to watch the rods and wait for the reels to start screaming — a sure sign that something’s taken the bait. When that moment comes, you’ll sit in the fighting chair and start reeling in your catch. The trophy on a deep-sea fishing trip can vary. With a bit of luck, you might land a marlin, sailfish, wahoo, or mahi-mahi (known locally as dorado). After a quick photo, your catch is cleaned and prepared right on the boat — ready for grilling. For the best experience, it's more fun to go with your own group — and for that, renting a private fishing boat is the way to go.
