Full description
This route is an immersion into a living, multi-layered Bangkok without tourist gloss. We begin with a walk through the Ratchathewi district, where local everyday life is in full swing. Next is the famous Jim Thompson House Museum. You will learn the story of the man who turned Thai silk into a global brand, stroll through a shaded garden, and explore a traditional teakwood house.
Then we take a canal bus boat into the historic center, where we visit the unique Loha Prasat - the Iron Temple with a viewing platform. After that, we switch to a tuk-tuk and head to Chinatown, stopping at the main temple of the community - Wat Mangkon Kamalawat.
A Chinese restaurant lunch awaits you: duck, tom yum, wontons, and seafood dishes. Afterwards, we continue with a walk through the atmospheric Talat Noi district with its workshops and cozy cafés.
You can end the day at ICONSIAM with evening fountain shows, or go up to the King Power Mahanakhon Skywalk with its glass floor at 314 meters - or return to your hotel.
