Full description
This route offers an immersion into the vibrant, layered life of Bangkok without the tourist gloss. We'll start with a walk through the Ratchathewi district, where the daily life of locals is bustling. Next, we'll visit the famous Jim Thompson House Museum, where you'll learn about the man who made Thai silk a global brand, stroll through the shady garden, and explore the traditional teak house.
We'll take a boat bus along the canal to the historic center, where we'll visit the unique Loha Prasat - the Iron Temple with an observation deck. Then, we'll hop on a tuk-tuk to Chinatown and visit the main community temple - Wat Mangkon Kamalawat.
You'll enjoy lunch at a Chinese restaurant featuring duck, tom yum, wontons, and seafood. Afterward, we'll take a walk through the atmospheric Talat Noi area filled with workshops and cafes.
To end the day, you can visit ICONSIAM to see the evening fountains or head up to the observation deck of the King Power Mahanakhon skyscraper with a glass floor at 314 meters high - or return to your hotel.
